Happy graduation, prom, and of course “Father’s Day”! It’s fun, sweet, and so nice to see young people graduating, going to proms, and what’s really cool is to see two girls and two boys going together! Awe, young love, or at the very least basking in that moment that someday may be a memory. Hopefully, a good one. It is and has always been about love, which for everyone is the feeling of their hearts, and whoever we love. Of course, that includes the 4 legged ones as well!
So many young people are experiencing what many generations have experienced, losing friends so young. It is my belief that with all of these “happenings,” these young people are becoming involved with wonderful causes and dedications to what they feel are deeply important. It is always the young who will inherit it all, so it will be they who take the reins. I, for one, give them my blessings. I am always aware and conscious that all of us play a part in future generations.
This, of course, always reminds me that they “chose” to be here, at this time in history, for their souls’ paths. I have no doubt they will step up to any plate needing to fulfill their soul’s journey. With that, there are many, many young people who are doing amazing things. It’s of course all about their passion and love that they deeply care about. It is a generation that is running for all kinds of positions in organizations, even politics, where they feel honestly tired of, need I say, “old people”! Many don’t feel their needs are being met, and they’re not being heard. I think it’s great they want to protect our democracy, or for sure give it a try for this 250-year experiment, after all, they are the ones who are inheriting it!
I loved to share a few of my other thoughts for June, since love is an important theme throughout all that’s happening. No matter who we are, our status or place in life, no one is exempt from, well, life. Even with moments that can offer incredible joy and high points in our lives, there may be a missing piece, or a person that hangs over no matter what is in our hearts. It’s all part of that heart experience.
In June, we also often think of Father’s Day. I can tell you in my world, many fathers have left their imprints. Like all relationships, some are wonderful, some are difficult. I’ll never forget a conversation I had with my UPS guy, Chris, who, although divorced, is a devoted father. He shared this with me while hiking with his son. A young man, probably around 10 years older than his son, was on the trail when they happened to start chatting. The young man said to Chris how he wished his father had shared special moments hiking or doing things with him. He said your son is blessed to have you. Chris, needless to say, was very touched and proudly replied, Thanks for those kind words. I always say, it’s the little things in life that we remember in our hearts. They are ours forever.
So with that, I leave you to enjoy the Summer Solstice on June 21st! We are officially in summer! Hike, take walks by the sea, play hooky, dance in the moonlight, and enjoy these summer nights!
Check out all my summer happenings, and don’t forget to smell the roses!
Warmly with love,
Suzane
